National Prison Radio worked in partnership with the Reading Agency to promote the Six Book Challenge to our prisoner audience.
The Six Book Challenge encourages people to get into the habit of reading by challenging themselves to read six books, poems or texts, and keeping a diary recording their reading.
Along with a special programme from Thameside, National Prison Radio also visited Lewes, Featherstone, Styal, Brixton and Pentonville prisons to record interviews and discussions with prisoners, staff and authors. They were broadcast on National Prison Radio during November and December.
