Our award-winning podcast Life After Prison with Zak and Jules is back for its fifth series, packed with fascinating interviews and loads of information to help support people on their journey after release.
The first show in series five features an incredible interview with TV presenter and producer, David Navarro, the host of the successful Youtube Channel, Delinquent Nation, which aims to give an insight into life inside.
Later on in the series we meet Ben Jones and Steve Girling, the hosts of NPR’s Hold or Fold. Hold or Fold is the first show of its kind that looks at the potential harm that can come from gambling and is created especially for people in prison.
Zak and Jules will also be joined by Steve Gallant, who received the Queen’s gallantry medal for bravery after intervening in the London Bridge Terror attacks in 2019. Steve was on day release from his life sentence and taking part in a course when he confronted the terrorist in 2019.
Other highlights include Zak and Jules discussing the ups and downs of navigating relationships when you are inside. On Getting Out we dig deep into the issues around sorting out your accommodation after release.
In other Life After Prison news, Zak and Jules were recently invited to the House of Lords by Lord David Blunkett, alongside Penal Reform Solutions to discuss the topic of ‘Hope in Probation‘, a topic close to Zak and Jules’ heart.
Last week Zak and Jules joined Jane and Fi on Times Radio to discuss about Life After Prison – the podcast and their own journey’s since release, available to listen to here.
Jules also recently joined Adam Fleming at BBC Newscast, alongside HMP Chief Inspector of Prisons, Charlie Taylor and BBC home and legal correspondent Dominic Casciani, to talk about the problems facing the UK prison system. You can listen to this discussion here.
