Christmas on the Family and Friends Request Show

The reality of spending Christmas inside can be tough, but National Prison Radio are helping people stay connected to their loved ones in jail.

Christmas can be an especially lonely time in prison and that’s why National Prison Radio will continue to broadcast into prison cells across England and Wales 24 hours a day, 7 days a week throughout the Christmas and New Year period.

To help people stay connected with their loved ones, we’ve been asking friends and family to get in touch with their Christmas song requests and messages for the Christmas special of the Friends and Family Request Show.

And it has a new host: Jules, who also hosts our award-winning podcast series Life After Prison. She will be reading out those special requests to help keep people behind bars company over Christmas.

If you’re listening outside prison, you access the show here on Mixcloud on Christmas Day.

If you haven’t already submitted your requests for your loved ones, you can do so at www.nationalprisonradio.com.

National Prison Radio is the only radio station which brings you programmes made by people in prison, for people in prison, at our studios in Brixton and Styal. We broadcast 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
