Life After Prison go LIVE

Zak and Jules took to the stage at the 2026 London Podcast Festival, alongside PRA Patron Lord Dr Michael Hastings, Karim Douglas and Corey White Snr.

The London Podcast Festival has become one of the most exciting events in the podcasting calendar. For two weeks in September some of the most interesting and important podcasts around are brought to life on stage at Kings Place in London, in front of a live audience.

To bring the Life After Prison podcast to the festival this year was something we had worked towards for a while and it was both exciting and rewarding to see our brilliant presenters, Zak and Jules – now firmly established in the broadcast industry – chairing an important and lively discussion between our panellists PRA Patron Lord Dr Michael Hastings, Karim Douglas and Corey White Snr, in front of an audience of supporters, friends and alumni of the podcast. None more so than Kieron Bryan , entrepreneur, business leader, keynote speaker and PHD student. Kieron has reflected on his experiences of our live event in this guest blog:

“Watching my brothers cooking raw inspiration on that stage is something I’ll always be proud of. I don’t think hustling on the roads is easy money, but for someone already respected and admired there, going back can be the path of least resistance – the networks, reputation, money, clout, power and autonomy are already there.

Seeing them choose the harder path, stepping into unfamiliar environments, rebuilding and pursuing something bigger, gives me nothing but respect and pride. They could go back to what they know and thrive, but they’re choosing to believe in themselves and their highest ambitions.

The Life After Prison podcast has a huge positive impact and has become the official podcast when it comes to understanding the lived experienced perspective.

Lord Hastings delivered another master class in inspiration and I am so happy the Life After Prison podcast has allowed for more people to be aware and appreciate the amount of lives he’s changing and makes look so easy.”
