The First Latin American Prison Radio Conference

The first Latin American prison radio conference will take place this October. The aim of this conference is to build regional networks between communications projects working with people deprived of their liberty, or people impacted by the criminal justice system.
The event is for everyone involved or interested in the production and presentation of audio via radio and podcasts or through audio communications workshops in prisons – professionals, academics and activists all welcome!
The conference will take place on 4 and 5 October 2023 in the studios of the famous community radio station, FM La Tribu and in the Centro Universitario Devoto (CUD), in the Federal Prison in Buenos Aires. For those who can’t make it in person, we will also hold an on-line zoom meeting on 3 October 2023.
This conference is being organised in partnership with FM La Tribu and the University of Buenos Aires Philosophy and Literature Prison Education Programme.
All activities are free, but spaces are limited.
