We identify and nurture talent within prisons, fostering creativity and providing opportunities for personal and professional development.
We develop production and presenting talent from within prisons. After release, we continue to support people who have worked with us on National Prison Radio to build on their professional development, whilst also providing paid traineeships through the Prison Radio Association’s Talent Development programme.
I am developing my radio production skills through working with
Richie, Trainee Producer
experienced producers. I can produce my own shows and I have the
experience to find employment. It would have been impossible to
get into the industry without the Prison Radio Association
In 2024, ‘Outside In‘ became our first ever National Prison Radio show produced and presented entirely by people who learnt their craft while working with us inside prison.
