In partnership with the Koestler Trust, we return to the beautiful Level 5 Function room at the prestigious Southbank Centre in London.

This year we’re focussing on how to create great content – for your prison radio station, and for sharing via National Prison Radio.
Inside Prison Radio 2015 will help you ensure your prison radio project is reaching its potential, supporting the work of the staff and departments in your prison, and most importantly, serving the needs of your audience.

Highlights of the day include:

• BBC Radio 4’s master of storytelling, Alan Dein, on how to make the most of the incredible raw material in prisons.
• Skilled wordsmiths Mr Gee, Femi Martin and Chris Preddie OBE.
• Tales of prison radio from Scotland and Sweden.
• Meet the new Head of Prison Radio, Jocelin Stainer, who will be in conversation with her predecessor Siobhann Tighe.
• Why Why Why Delilah? Find out in our fun-filled Editorial Compliance session with the BBC Compliance Editor Roger Mahony!
• Paddy O’Connell plans the perfect interview – with some surprising results.
• Chaired once again by the inimitable and inspirational Roma Hooper.

With other star names to be announced, the day is a must for prison radio practitioners, and anyone working in or around prisons who’s interested in the power of prison radio.

We’ll have contributions from leading experts in the radio industry who’ll give you tips and advice on how to make simple, compelling radio that excites your audience and keeps them listening. You’ll be able to hear some examples of great prison radio, and there will be plenty of opportunities to contribute your own thoughts and ideas, ask questions, share good practice and chat to prison radio colleagues from projects across the country.
