Connection – our film about the power of National Prison Radio

Starring the voices and faces of people with lived experience of prison, and a very well-trained pigeon, our film Connection celebrates the quiet magic of radio – how a voice on the airwaves can travel across land, through skies, and even between bars.

It shows how our radio station, National Prison Radio, carries hope, connection, and love between people inside and outside prison walls, while helping to reduce reoffending and build brighter futures along the way.

Created by the brilliant minds at Brother Film, with support from The Media Trust, this film captures those powerful moments that remind us: no matter where we are, radio can bring us together.

We are proud to support people across prisons in England and Wales through the power of audio – and with your help, we can reach even more.
